Letná Metronome
The Letná Metronome is an art installation on Letná hill, on the site of the former monument to Joseph Stalin, which was removed in the 1960s.
The present metronome was installed in 1991 as a symbol of the passing of time and of historical change. It stands on a large viewing platform that offers one of the most characteristic views of Prague and the bridges over the Vltava.
The place is popular with locals and tourists alike, often used as a meeting spot, a place to skateboard and a venue for cultural events.
Satori Cities
On a Satori Cities walk, Letná Metronome is not treated as a box to tick. It is a place to notice panorama, rhythm, and twentieth-century memory, to slow the body down, and to receive the historical context only after perception has done its work.
