Old Town Hall

The Old Town Hall is one of Prague's most important landmarks, standing on the Old Town Square. Its origins reach back to the 14th century, when the first part of the complex was built to house the city authorities.

The hall's best-known feature is the astronomical clock, the Orloj, from 1410, set on the building's southern wall. Every hour a show of moving figures takes place here, drawing visitors from all over the world.

The hall also has a viewing tower offering a panorama of the Old Town Square and central Prague. It is one of the best places to see the layout of the historic city from above.

Satori Cities

On a Satori Cities walk, Old Town Hall is not treated as a box to tick. It is a place to notice texture, proportion, and the moment before explanation, to slow the body down, and to receive the historical context only after perception has done its work.
