Church of Our Lady before Tyn
The Church of Our Lady before Týn is one of Prague's most important churches, on the Old Town Square. Its construction began in the 14th century, and its distinctive twin Gothic towers became one of the most recognisable features of the city skyline.
The church was once linked to the Hussite movement and played a significant role in the religious history of Bohemia. Its interior holds precious works of art, including the tomb of the astronomer Tycho Brahe.
Today it is one of Prague's foremost sights and an emblem of the Old Town Square, visible from many points across the city centre.
