Celetna Street
Celetná Street is one of the oldest and most important streets in the historic centre of Prague. It links the Old Town Square with the Powder Tower and is part of the former Royal Route, along which Bohemian kings walked during their coronation ceremonies.
The street dates back to the Middle Ages and was for centuries an important trade route. It is lined with numerous historic townhouses, palaces and historic interiors that reflect the development of Prague's architecture.
Today Celetná is one of the busiest streets in the city centre and forms a natural sightseeing route between the Old Town Square and Náměstí Republiky.
Satori Cities
On a Satori Cities walk, Celetna Street is not treated as a box to tick. It is a place to notice texture, proportion, and the moment before explanation, to slow the body down, and to receive the historical context only after perception has done its work.
