Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul
The Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul stands within Vyšehrad and is one of the most important religious buildings in Prague. Its origins go back to the 11th century, when it was built as a Romanesque church tied to the early centre of power.
The basilica owes its present appearance to a Neo-Gothic reconstruction in the late 19th century. Its two slender towers, which dominate the Vyšehrad skyline, are especially distinctive.
