Places
Karlin
Karlín is a district of Prague east of the centre that has undergone significant regeneration in recent years. Once an industrial, working-class area, today it is one of the most modern parts of the city.
Here you will find restored townhouses, modern office buildings and numerous restaurants, cafés and cultural spaces. The district is also notable for the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius and Vítkov hill with its monument to Jan Žižka.
Karlín is an example of Prague's contemporary transformation — a place where history meets a modern way of life.
Satori Cities
On a Satori Cities walk, Karlin is not treated as a box to tick. It is a place to notice daily streets, thresholds, and the city at walking speed, to slow the body down, and to receive the historical context only after perception has done its work.
